OMAHA, Neb. – A new physician brings her expertise in women’s health to Omaha and the patients at Alegent Health Clinic. Mary Cunnane, M.D. is focusing her practice on gynecology, ultrasound services and in-office procedures at the Midtown Women’s Health Clinic and Lakeside Hospital. She also offers outreach care to patients in Schuyler.
As a women’s health specialist, Dr. Cunnane is specially trained in the medical and surgical care of the female reproductive system and associated disorders. She earned her medical degree from Chicago’s Rush Medical College in 1980 and completed residency training in OB/GYN at the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital and at the University of New Mexico Hospital in 1986. She is board certified by and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Cunnane is a certified menopause practitioner through the North American Menopause Society. More than 450 providers have this certification nationwide - Dr. Cunnane is the only certified physician practicing in Nebraska. She brings extensive experience in OB/GYN ultrasound from her previous practice, which was accredited by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.
Prior to joining Alegent Health, Dr. Cunnane was part of a 10-woman practice caring for 75,000 women in and around Rochester, New York. She also spent more than 23 years working in women’s health in Arizona and New Mexico.
