She attended nursing school at the Nebraska Methodist College in Omaha, Nebraska and received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 1998.</p> <p> In 2000 she was accepted into the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Clarkson College She graduated in 2003 with academic honors in the FNP program and achieved a Master of Science degree in Nursing. In 2008 she graduated with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Iowa.</p> <p> Jill initiated her Nurse Practitioner career at Montgomery County Memorial hospital in Red Oak, Iowa. She was the sole provider on duty for patients seeking emergency care. In 2004 she left Red Oak and joined Nebraska Heart Institute in Omaha, Nebraska to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in cardiology. </p> <p> She remained at NHI until 2008 when the practice transitioned from NHI to Heart and Vascular Specialists with Alegent Health Clinic. While practicing in cardiology she also practices part-time in an independently owned Family Nurse Practitioner practice in Underwood, Iowa with her mother, who is also a Nurse Practitioner.</p> <p> Jill practices general cardiology that includes inpatient, emergent and outpatient consultations. She also supervises non-invasive stress testing and assists with procedures. Her special interests include congestive heart failure, pacemaker/defibrillator device management, arrhythmias and cardiac research. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.</p> <p> Jill has maintained her professional memberships and involvement in organizations such as the American College of Cardiology, Nebraska Nurse Practitioners, and the Iowa Nurse Practitioners Society. She is married and has one child.
