Q: Why should I still be having pain in my heart after having a heart bypass 5 months ago?

A: If the pain is different from the pain prior to your surgery, and related to any of your incisions, see your primary physician or your surgeon.

If pain feels the same as the pain that you were having before your surgery, then see your cardiologist to determine if you need some form of a stress test.
