Cindy Alloway, administrator of Alegent Health Lakeside Hospital, has more than 30 years of healthcare and leadership experience in the Omaha-metro area. With a penchant for strategic planning, an intuitive understanding of patient needs, and a visionary leadership style, Cindy was instrumental in the planning and design of Lakeside Hospital, one of the nation’s most advanced healthcare facilities. She continues to dedicate her time to building and managing a strong team of patient-focused, experienced healthcare professionals while overseeing the day-to-day operations of west Omaha’s first full-service community hospital.

Prior to joining Alegent Health, Cindy served in numerous nursing and leadership roles at Bishop Clarkson Memorial Hospital. While there, she served as Head Nurse in the Renal, Urology and Kidney Transplant Unit before becoming the Area Manager of Renal, Urology, ENT, Plastics and OB/GYN. Eventually, she became the Nursing and Operations Director for Clarkson West Medical Center, where she was responsible for the start-up, maintenance and growth of the new west Omaha ambulatory care venture. Under her direction, both volume and revenue exceeded five-year projections after only one year of operation.

In 1997, Clarkson West Medical Center became part of the Nebraska Health Systems network, and Cindy was promoted to Vice President of Ambulatory Care, Emergency/Trauma Services, and Occupational Health. In this capacity, she spearheaded expansion and growth opportunities for Clarkson West, developed a highly successful Occupational Health Services program and consolidated two emergency service areas with a projected savings of $500K annually.

Cindy, a registered nurse, earned her nursing degree at Clarkson College of Nursing in 1974. She later took additional classes in healthcare administration at Bellevue College and participated in an Excellence in Customer Service training program at the Kellogg Institute.
