Wayne A. Sensor, Chief Executive Officer of Alegent Health
Wayne Sensor has nearly 20 years of experience in leading major healthcare systems, most recently as President and Chief Executive Officer at CHRISTUS Schumpert Health System in Shreveport, Louisiana, a Catholic, not-for-profit regional system owned and operated by CHRISTUS Health in Dallas, Texas. Sensor began his career in the healthcare field in 1987 at Samaritan Health System in Clinton, Iowa, an acute care hospital, owned and operated by the Sisters of Mercy Health System. While there, he was Administrative Liaison with the medical staff and served as Vice President of Marketing and Planning for the entire health system. During this time, he also served as an Interim Administrator at Morrison Community Hospital in Morrison, Illinois. In 1992, he joined Northeast Arkansas Rehabilitation Hospital in Jonesboro as Chief Executive Officer. Five years later, in 1997, he joined Integris Baptist Health Center in Enid, Oklahoma, as Chief Executive Officer.
Sensor is a native Iowan who earned his B.A. in Financial and Personnel Management at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls and his MBA from St. Ambrose College in Davenport, Iowa. Sensor and his wife Cindy have been married for 23 years and have two children, Evan, age 19 and Kierstin, age 16.
An active member of the Shreveport community, Sensor was a member of the BioMedical Research Foundation, the Military Affairs Council at Barksdale Air Force Base, the Eighth Air Force General's Advisory Committee, the rotary club and the Hal Sutton Children's Foundation. With his experience and success in healthcare strategy and relationship building, Sensor has been invited to speak for a number of professional organizations across the nation, including the American Hospital Association Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development, and the Physician Strategies Summit.

Fred W. Hosler, M.D., MPA, FACP, FACPE, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer
As Alegent Health's senior vice president and chief medical officer, Fred Hosler, M.D., plays a key role in establishing an environment of constructive engagement with Alegent Health physicians. In the area of physician collaboration, Dr. Hosler brings his expertise in physician leadership development and the creation of physician alliances to improve the delivery of health services and the health of the Alegent Health community.
Alegent Health is a not-for-profit, faith-based healthcare system with over 1,200 physicians and nearly 8,600 employees. Alegent Health is comprised of five metropolitan medical centers, four rural hospitals and 42 primary care clinics with 125 physicians in Nebraska and Iowa. It has multiple collaborative affiliations with other healthcare providers in the region.
Dr. Hosler's skills in systems thinking, clinical outcome management, performance improvement and knowledge management are critical, particularly in the area of measurable and sustained improvements in clinical and operational outcomes. In addition to clinical quality, risk management, clinical research and system medical directorships, Dr. Hosler oversees Medical Staff Services and is creating a physician executive structure.
Dr. Hosler is board-certified in internal medicine. He most recently served as senior vice president of Medical Affairs and as corporate compliance officer at the Methodist Medical Center of Illinois. His career spans 25 years, including experience in private practice and exceptional work in operational performance and clinical outcome management.
Dr. Hosler served as medical director for White Mountain Medical Specialists, Springerville, Arizona, from 1979 to 1993 and First Choice Community Health Care, Albuquerque, New Mexico, from 1994 to 1995. He left First Choice in 1995 to become medical director and an assistant professor of Medicine and Family Medicine at the University of New Mexico until 1997.
He served again as a medical director from 1997 to 2000, this time for Health Alliance PHO/CCGPO/Crouse IPA in Syracuse, New York. From 1998 to 2000, he led Crouse Hospital as senior vice president for medical affairs.
Dr. Hosler received his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed his residency at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He earned a master's degree in Public Administration at the University of New Mexico in 1997. In addition to his M.D. and M.P.A., Dr. Hosler is a Certified Physician Executive and a Fellow in the American College of Physician Executives. He has been a member of the American College of Physicians since 1981 and was named a Fellow in 1992.
