When to Visit the Emergency Room: Decide Ahead of Time

The following conditions may require diagnostic or treatment services that are not available at the Express Care Clinics. These are probably better evaluated at an Emergency Department. If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 immediately!

- Chest pain
- Severe abdominal pain
- Motor vehicle accidents with spine injury
- Sudden, severe headache
- Obstetrical problems
- Seizures
- Psychiatric disorders
- Overdoses
- Child abuse
- Assault, including sexual assault
- Infants less than 6 weeks of age
