Voices of Experience
Past patients of the Alegent Health Orthopaedic Institute offer their views of joint replacement surgery

When traveling to an unknown destination, it helps to talk to someone who knows the way.  That's the theory behind Voices of Experience, an Alegent Health program that connects individuals considering joint replacement surgery with people who have been through it.

"The program started because we have hip and knee replacement patients who want to stay involved." says a community educator associated with the Alegent Health Orthopaedic Insitute.  "They want to tell people how great their new hips or knees are."

Alegent Health maintains a list of contacts for Voices of Experience.  These volunteers are happy to share their own experiences, so others can find their way to better health.  For information, call 1-800-ALEGENT (1-800-253-4368) and ask for our "Voices of Experience" lists for either knee or hip replacement.
