Medical/Dental Plan
Comprehensive and competitive medical and dental plans are available for all full and part-time employees with a wide variety of options available for singles, couples and families. The medical plan is designed to engage you in your healthcare decisions and reward you to change unhealthy behaviors.

Life Insurance Accidental Death/Dismemberment
Alegent Health offers you the opportunity to choose from several levels of coverage for yourself, your spouse and child(ren).

Short and Long-Term Disability
Both Short and Long-term Disability programs are available to Alegent Health employees. Eligibility for various options depends on employment status and individual choice of coverage.

Medical, Dependent Care and Adoption Spending Account
You have the opportunity to set aside pretax dollars for predictable medical and dependent care or adoption expenses throughout the year.

Pension Plan
Alegent Health will make yearly contributions to your pension based on your gross wages. Eligibility begins the month following your one-year anniversary date, if you have completed 1,000 hours during that year or any subsequent calendar year period (12 months) in which you complete 1,000 hours of service.

Paid Time Off (PTO)
As an Alegent Health employee you will accrue PTO hours. PTO combines vacation, holidays and sick time, allowing the flexibility to utilize this earned time to your best advantage.

Shift Differential
Shift Differential is provided to Alegent Health employees who work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as recognized by the organization.

Tax Deferred Annuity /403b
Alegent Health offers the opportunity to shelter income from taxes during earning years through payroll deduction. Eligibility begins immediately upon hire.

Tuition Assistance
As an employee of Alegent Health, you will be eligible for tuition reimbursement for classes pertaining to your present position or a position which will enhance your potential for transfer or advancement within the system. Reimbursement occurs after completion of one year of employment and employees must remain employed for one year following receipt of tuition reimbursement.

Child Care Center
At Alegent Health we realize that providing quality care for your child(ren) is important to you. That' s why we offer low-cost childcare at our Immanuel, Bergan Mercy and Mercy-Council Bluffs campuses for children infant age through 12 years. In addition, the childcare facility at Bergan Mercy Medical Center offers a certified kindergarten.

Bereavement Leave
Losing a loved one can be a life-altering experience. At Alegent Health we understand the importance of taking time for yourself and your family at this emotional time. We offer bereavement leave for up to five days (40 hours) during seven calendar days for an immediate family member and up to 3 days for an extended family member.

Employee Assistance Program
To celebrate good health, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is offered to all employees. Employees and their families are encouraged to use the program whenever they need: whether it is for tips on stress management, concerns about parenting, elder care issues or ways to build healthy family relationships.
