Back and Spine Institute
The Alegent Health Back and Spine Institute is a member of the national Spine Network, Centers of Excellence for Spine Care. Alegent Health also participates with the Foundation for Spinal Research, founded in 1998 by the Nebraska Spine Center. Both the National Spine Network and the Nebraska Foundation for Spinal Research are dedicated to excellence in spine care and to the belief that medical research of spinal diseases and disorders is a primary component of overall patient service. Both organizations are dedicated and actively involved in medical research relating to the causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment and/or control of spinal diseases or disorders.
The Alegent Health Back and Spine Institute is a comprehensive center for the diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders and both neck and back injuries.
The Medical Team
The medical team at the back and spine institute has been specially trained to treat a variety of spinal disorders and injuries affecting the cervical, thoracic and lumbar regions, including scoliosis, kyphosis, spondylolisthesis and degenerative diseases.
The interdisciplinary team includes general and orthopaedic spinal surgeons, physiatrists, pain management specialists, anesthesiology, neurology, neuroradiology, psychology, nutrition services, massage therapy, physical therapy, and neurophysiology. This team uses the most advanced technology in spine surgery for positive outcomes.
