The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) named the top 15 “Hospitals With Heart” in the July/August issue of Modern Maturity. Included was Alegent Health Bergan Mercy Medical Center, recognized as a leader in adopting patient-centered philosophies.

AARP researchers consulted with dozens of caregivers, hospital administrators and other experts. The top 15 facilities “most respected by their peers combine first-rate traditional care with innovations such as quality dining services, Eastern healing techniques and aesthetically pleasing surroundings," according to AARP.
