Complementary Therapies, such as massage, Yoga, T'ai Chi and
meditation can help patients manage their symptoms and improve quality of life
when they are combined with conventional treatment and care.
Cancer patients benefit from
these therapies by enabling them to cope with the psychological, emotional, spiritual
and social effects of cancer.
At Alegent Health,
Complementary Therapy services specifically designed for cancer patients and
their caregivers include Yoga, T'ai Chi and meditation classes.
We also offer The Lebed Method therapeutic
exercise program for persons who have had any kind of breast surgery, node
dissection, radiation, chemotherapy or who suffer from chronic fatigue. The program
helps increase range of motion and balance,
decrease frozen shoulder, depression and pain,
and reduce limb swelling. It's also lots of fun! You can get
