We believe our patients should have access to the most advanced medicines or treatments available. To meet that goal, the Alegent Health Cancer Center participates in more than 70 national clinical trials each year and is a part of the Missouri Valley Cancer Consortium CCOP, a program that provides access to hundreds of cancer-related studies throughout the country. Studies are available for cancer control, cancer prevention and cancer treatment. No patient is obligated to participate in clinical trials and may withdraw at any time. However, those who do participate, gain access to new medicines and other benefits, such as low or no-cost drugs and treatments.
