Outreach to Rural Communities
Each week, Alegent Health cardiologists visit rural communities to care for cardiac patients who are unable or unwilling to travel long distances for heart care. To ensure these patients receive the best care possible, our cardiologists work closely with local primary care physicians and community hospitals. In many case, simply allowing patients to remain close to home and surrounded by familiar faces can have an extremely positive effect on their health.
