Urgent Care for People of All Ages

At Alegent Health Express Care, we provide high quality urgent medical care for non-life threatening illnesses and injuries -- and for those times when your physician is not available. Urgent care is available for those of all ages. Pediatric Express Care, located at Bergan Mercy Medical Center, is a special urgent care center just for children.

No appointment is necessary. Patients are seen in the order of arrival and medical priority.

Non life-threating conditions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Minor Injuries

Cuts that may require sutures
Eye injuries
Minor head injuries
Possible broken bones
Sports injuries
Sprains and strains
Work-related injuries
Other minor injuries

Minor Illnesses

Asthma
Colds, fevers, flu and sore throats
Headaches, stomach aches and backaches
Hives, rashes and sores
Infections
Pneumonia Routine Care
Drug screens
Sports physicals

Staffing
Clinics are staffed with physician and support staff that may include a registered nurse, medical assistant/ registrar, and radiology trained technicians.

Self-Pay
Payment is expected at the time of service.

Insurance Payment
Please check your health insurance plan for requirements for emergency care. Some health plans require primary care approval prior to receiving care. Patients are responsible for obtaining this approval. Any co-pay is expected at the time of service.

Follow-Up Care
After treatment, patients are referred back to their primary care physician to assure that they receive proper follow-up care. Please call your physician for a follow-up appointment. If you do not have a personal physician, we will assist you in finding a physician to meet your healthcare needs.

Professionals Who Care

Daniel T. Hill, M.D., received his medical degree from the University of Southern California School of Medicine in 1978. He completed his family practice residency at Northridge Hospital in Northridge, Calif., in 1981. Dr. Hill is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice.

Ching C. Chen, M.D., received her medical degree from China Medical College-Taichung, Taiwan, in 1975. She completed her training in pediatrics at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y., and her internal medicine training at Georgetown University Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Chen is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.

Kevin B. Jones, M.D., received his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 1986. He completed his residency in family medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Jones is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians.
